I am able to do this by selecting the range of values that comprise the upper and lower limits. Any parameters entrusted to Excel come from a black box. Is it because of the version or am I missing something?

You can remove **either of** these error bars by selecting them, and then pressing DELETE. The catch is that each company sells each item at different prices, therefore for each company and each item there is a standard deviation in price.
